Rank, school, record, classification

1. (3) Bolles (5-4, Class 3A)

Quality win: Orange Park, Tocoi Creek, Valor Christian

Notable: The Bulldogs went 2-1 since our last Super 6, beating Valor Christian, Colorado (61-51) and losing Maryland (59-45) at the She Got Game invitational. Bolles also handed previous No. 1 Tocoi Creek its first local loss in a 58-56 game. They’re back in action on Thursday against Nease. Evie Freeman (12.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg) and C Terrell McCoy (12.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg) are leading the way for Bolles. I jumped them over Kenny for the top spot due to the quality of opposition. The combined record of Bolles’ four losses is 30-5.

2. (2) Bishop Kenny (8-1, Class 4A)

Quality wins: Dillard, Episcopal, Orlando First Academy.

Glance: Kenny has won six straight games, including Ws over Bishop Snyder (63-31) and Fletcher (60-22) since our last Super 6. I considered the Crusaders for the No. 1 spot, but the schedule has been just OK outside of a high quality win over Dillard. That shouldn’t be a question after the Crusaders get through their holiday tournament schedule. Kathleen Crawley (16.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg) is leading the way for Kenny.

3. (1) Tocoi Creek (10-2, Class 6A)

Quality wins: Hilliard, Jackson, Rickards

Notable: The Toros went 3-1 since our last Super 6, beating Menendez (66-25), DeLand (57-22) and Rickards (50-39). They lost a 58-56 shootout to Bolles. They’re back in action on Dec. 20 (Campbell, Ga.) and then the Insider Exposure tournament next week in North Carolina.

4. (4) Providence (6-3, Class 2A)

Quality wins: Episcopal, Nease, Spruce Creek, Trinity Catholic.

Notable: The Stallions went 3-0 since our last Super 6, beating Trinity Christian (52-5), Oakleaf (55-43) and Episcopal (55-34). Tournament action up next on Friday and Saturday.

5. (NR) Creekside (6-3, Class 7A)

Quality wins: Fleming Island, Nease, Ponte Vedra, Sandalwood

Notable: The Knights move into the Super 6 after winning three straight, including quality wins over previous No. 5 Ponte Vedra (50-41) and Fleming Island (61-37). Two losses are to out-of-area teams Milton and Jenkins (both from Georgia), and they’re a combined 10-2. The local loss is to Tocoi Creek. Brie McCoy (12.5 ppg, 10 rpg) and Presley Brinkley (120.4 ppg) are leading the Knights.

6. (5) Ponte Vedra (7-2, Class 5A)

Quality wins: Episcopal, Lee County, Ga., Nease, Orange Park, White

Notable: The Sharks dropped a game to Creekside but they hang on in the rankings ahead of Orange Park and San Jose Prep. They’ve got Bishop Snyder, Middleburg and Sandalwood up this week. Jocelyn Hoffmann (19.7 ppg) and Audra Davis (11.6 ppg) are leading the way for the Sharks.
