33 youth bowlers are headed to National Junior Gold Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Youth bowling on the First Coast is growing at a rapid pace and the number of kids heading to the National Junior Gold Championships keeps getting bigger. In 2015 there were 10 that went to Nationals, last year it was 14 and next week a total of 33 local bowlers are headed to Cleveland.

But that's not all. The First Coast also has a U-12 and a U-15 team in the baker competition. That's something that no other local association in the nation can claim. Bringing home a trophy would be nice but the big prize at Nationals is a chance to compete for over 250,000 thousand dollars in scholarship money.
