Jaguars linebacker helps neighbor with hurricane preps

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars star linebacker, Paul Posluszny, proved he can shine even when he’s not on the gridiron.

Posluszny finished putting hurricane shutters on his house Thursday and went to his neighbor, Channel 4’s Look Local anchor Karen Adams, and said, 'Let's put up your shutters."

Posluszny and Adams have been neighbors in an Intracoastal West neighborhood for the past five years. He told her that since neither he nor Adams had been through a hurricane before, they should work together to get through it.

“I’m just so very blessed that Paul helped me," Adams said. "My 10-year-old daughter, Adele, and I feel much safer as we get ready to endure the wrath of Hurricane Matthew.  Paul truly shows what it means to be a great neighbor."

Adams posted Posluszny's good deed on Facebook, and the good news spread. The story has been picked up by the New York Post and ENPN.
