After six days of looking for them, Coast Guard suspended its active search Thursday evening.
The two met at fire school in Indian River County, Miller said.
According to the Coast Guard, the search covered 146,000 square miles, an area the size of the state of Montana.
He said Coast Guard resources are still in the water and the air on patrol, ready to react if anything develops.
