A Virginia middle school student with dreadlocks admitted that she made up the accusation that she was attacked by three white boys at school who she said pinned her down and cut her hair, her family announced in a statement. Amari Allen initially told authorities that the boys called her dreadlocks ugly and nappy during recess last month, and then cut some of them off. The head of Immanuel Christian School, Stephen Danish, said that after authorities investigated the allegations, Allen admitted she had made the story up. A black middle school student with dreadlocks was allegedly pinned down by three white boys as they cut her hair, according to several reports. Amari Allen, a 12-year-old student at Immanuel Christian School, told WUSA-TV that the boys called her dreadlocks ugly and nappy during Monday's recess and then cut some of them off. The school, which Amaris family pays $12,000 a year for her to attend, said it is investigating the incident. "We take seriously the emotional and physical well-being of all our students, and have a zero-tolerance policy for any kind of bullying or abuse," Immanuel Christian School said in a statement, per CBS News.
