A woman accused of stealing more than half a million dollars from a Nassau County church will be in court Tuesday morning for a pretrial hearing.

After a former financial secretary for Amelia Baptist Church was charged with grand theft and accused of embezzling more than $570,000, the church’s pastor called the situation “incredibly hurtful and difficult.”
