2016: Director Arthur Hiller dies at the age of 92 in Los Angeles. He received an Oscar nomination for Best Director for 1970's "Love Story" and is also known for directing movies such as "The Out-of-Towners," "Plaza Suite," "The Man in the Glass Booth," "Silver Streak," "The In-Laws" and "Outrageous Fortune." He also served as president of the Directors Guild of America from 1989 to 1993 and president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 1993 to 1997. Hide Caption
