Forty years ago, the legendary Live Aid concerts simulcast from Philadelphia and London aimed to do a lot of good.

FireAid, featuring Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Sting, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others in a fundraiser for Los Angeles-area wildfire relief efforts, is the latest event to combine music and philanthropy.

Dubbed "Global Goal Live: The Possible Dream," the event, which is presented by nonprofit Global Citizen, aims to be the largest live broadcast in "cause event history," according to a press release from organizers. Slated for Sept. 26, 2020, Global Goal Live will be a 10-hour performance, spanning five continents in an effort to raise funds to support of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
