Mac Miller, a rapper and producer who began his rise in the music industry in his late teens, has died, his attorney David Byrnes tells the Washington Post. (CNN) - A second man has been arrested following rapper Mac Miller's accidental overdose death last year in Los Angeles. Ryan Reavis, 36, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was charged with a series of drugs and weapons offenses, including possession of marijuana, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. Lake Havasu City is in western Arizona about 200 miles from Phoenix. Another arrest weeks earlierEarlier this month, a California man was arrested for allegedly giving the rapper drugs laced with fentanyl days before his death, the DEA said.

A third man has been arrested amid an investigation into the death of the late Mac Miller. Cops allege that Pettit contacted Walter on Sept. 4, 2018, and asked for 10 Percocet pills, which Miller had requested in a text. Cops allege that Walter then sent a runner to Pettit with the pills, and that Pettit delivered them to Miller on Sept. 5. The L.A. County Coroner's Office released its report on Miller's death last November and said that the rapper died from "mixed drug toxicity," noting fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol. Following Pettit's arrest, Miller's father, Mark McCormick, attended an event in his sons honor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on the anniversary of his death.

A man has been arrested on a charge of providing counterfeit drugs to Mac Miller days before the rapper died of an overdose at age 26. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later determined that Miller died of mixed drug toxicity involving fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol. Based on communications detailed in the affidavit, Pettit agreed to supply Miller with 30-milligram oxycodone pills, as well as cocaine and Xanax. According to the affidavit, investigators believe that Miller died after snorting the counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl, which had allegedly been provided by Pettit. (CNN) - A California man has been arrested for allegedly selling rapper Mac Miller drugs laced with fentanyl days before his death, the US Drug Enforcement Administration announced on Wednesday. Authorities believe Miller snorted those pills prior to his death, the release added. He is expected to make his initial court appearance on Wednesday afternoon in United States District Court in Los Angeles. "Fentanyl disguised as a genuine pharmaceutical is a killer -- which is being proven every single day in the United States," said United States Attorney Nick Hanna.

A California man has been charged in connection with the death of hip-hop artist Mac Miller, who suffered a fatal drug overdose in his home nearly a year ago, officials said. Investigators said they served search warrants at multiple locations and recovered a plastic bag containing pills allegedly supplied by a sex worker and a madam, NBC reported. Two days earlier, Pettit allegedly supplied Miller with counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl, cocaine and Xanax.
