Rocco Becht scored from a yard out on fourth-and-goal with 56 seconds remaining and No. 18 Iowa State capped the best season in school history by rallying past No. 15 Miami 42-41 in the Pop-Tarts Bowl on Saturday.

The stakes were higher for Iowa State, and the outcome was the same as the first for the Cyclones in their second trip to the Big 12 championship game.

Big 12 newcomer Arizona State will represent the conference in the 12-team College Football Playoff.

Devin Neal ran for 116 yards and two scores and became Kansas’ all-time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in a 45-36 win over No. 17 Iowa State at Arrowhead Stadium.

Carson Hansen rushed for three scores, Rocco Becht threw a touchdown pass and No. 11 Iowa State beat West Virginia 28-16.
