British designer Kim Jones is stepping down from his role as artistic director of womenswear and couture at Fendi, parent group LVMH announced.

Fendi, under Kim Jones, has presented a mesmerizing collection blending minimalist futurism with an homage to Karl Lagerfeld at Paris Couture Week.

A hush fell over the Fendi runway as the front-row filled with supermodels signaling the show was about to begin: Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Kate Moss had taken their seats.

Fendi put a fitting exclamation point on Paris couture week by drawing an A-list crowd to the opulent Palais Brongniart.

Milan Fashion Week opened Wednesday with a sense of renewal.

From the hoopla it looked like a movie premiere, but the star was a bag.

The Italian fashion world has opened a Milan Fashion Week that brought the return of Russian buyers after two years and the easing of pandemic travel restrictions.

The name Kim Jones dominated Paris fashion for a second week running as the indefatigable Briton who designs for Dior Men’s was back on the runway to present his latest couture collection for Fendi.

Milan menswear designers seem to have decided on the answer, but the question remains: Have the pandemic lockdowns emboldened men to embrace a more feminine silhouette, including skirts, mini-dresses and cape coats.

(CNN) - The British Fashion Council has announced the nominations for the 2019 Fashion Awards, with model Adut Akech and designer Daniel Lee of Bottega Veneta among those recognized. The awards recognize "exceptional individuals whose imagination and creativity has broken new ground in fashion" in the fashion industry, a British Fashion Council (BFC) press release stated. Alongside Akech, Adesuwa Aighewi, Adwoa Aboah, Winnie Harlow and Kaia Gerber have been nominated for model of the year at the 2019 awards. Both designers have also been nominated in multiple categories: Lee in the British womenswear designer category, Jones for best British menswear designer, and both for best accessories designer. BFC chair Stephanie Phair said in a statement, "I would like to congratulate all the nominees of The Fashion Awards 2019.

Nicki Minaj has teamed up with Fendi. The rapper is set to release a capsule collection in collaboration with the Italian luxury design house online and at select boutiques on Oct. 14. The range will embody Fendi's signature "FF" logo-laden pieces and Minaj's statement-making style. She shared a sneak peek of the collection with photos from the campaign, shot by Steven Klein, on Instagram.
