More than a dozen kittens are ready for adoption after graduating from the kitten-fostering program at the Flagler County Jail.

The newer technology is called Inmate Recognition and Identification System, better known as I.R.I.S. The technology scans the iris in the eyes to help positively identify new inmates before they are admitted into the jail and before they are allowed to leave the jail.
