Local oncologist Dr. Scot Ackerman said the sad thing about lung cancer is that it can be hard to diagnose early because the early symptoms of shortness of breath and cough can be attributed to many other ailments. “For him to have some shortness of breath, this wasn’t that unusual,” Ackerman said. Limbaugh was also a known smoker of cigars, which Ackerman said could have contributed to his lung cancer, depending on how much he smoked.

As Rudolph let off a pass down field against the Baltimore Ravens, a defender's helmet smacked right into his. Burt Lauten, a Steelers spokesman, tweeted Sunday Rudolph wouldn't return to the game. "Rudolph is leaving Heinz Field to be further evaluated at a hospital," Lauten tweeted. Now that Rudolph is out, the Steelers will look to Devlin Hodges who was promoted from the practice squad after Roethlisberger was put on the reserve/injured list, according to the Steelers' website.

"Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening and it was determined by the Steelers' medical team that surgery will be required," Tomlin said. Second-year quarterback Mason Rudolph out of Oklahoma State replaced Roethlisberger on the team's first possession of the second half. On Sunday, before knowing that Roethlisberger would need surgery, Rudolph said he would be confident in taking over if Roethlisberger were to miss time. Roethlisberger is the Steelers' all-time team leader in passing yards and touchdowns.
