This week’s new entertainment releases include albums from The 1975 and Red Hot Chili Peppers, some sort of conclusion to the Michael Myers saga with the arrival of the horror thriller “Halloween Ends” and a new TV spin-off from the “Supernatural” franchise.”.

Here’s a collection curated by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists of what’s arriving on TV, streaming services and music platforms this week. — AP Film Writer Lindsey BahrMUSIC— Jay-Z’s Roc Nation entertainment company has curated an album focused on social justice to be released Friday. — It’s taken nearly three decades but Scandal rocker Patty Smyth is releasing her first album of original material on Friday. Fans of that show will find similar style, cars, clothes and alpha male energy in “The Right Stuff,” an eight-part series based on Tom Wolfe's book. The show, about demon-hunting brothers Dean and Sam Winchester (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki), debuted the same year as YouTube.

Hilarie Burton-Morgan is enjoying newlywed bliss after marrying actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan earlier this month. At the time of our interview, Padalecki and Ackles had only filmed the pilot episode together, but it was clear by their passion and brotherly connection that Supernatural was destined for long-term greatness. The TV series is kicking off its 15th and final season this fall, and The CW has released a promotional poster that appears to hint at what's to come for the long-suffering, demon-hunting Winchester brothers. "As it is written, so it shall end," the poster reads. In the season 14 season finale, Chuck -- who we learn is the creator of all -- snapped his fingers and released demons from hell, leaving Sam, Dean and Castiel to fight off the monsters. Already speculation has begun on social media about the poster's symbolism, and what it says about the final season: Will Sam and Dean Winchester die? The stars of the show are also using attention around the series finale to help provide relief for victims of Hurricane Dorian.

With the final season fast approaching, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and the Supernatural team continued their farewell tour. I don't think these guys look in the past very often unless it's to help moving forward. Ackles, Padalecki and Collins revealed in an emotional video message to fans in March that they were ending Supernatural after season 15.
