Tanvi Barman is a high school senior who has had more birthday parties than the average 17-year-old. Barman spends her weekends throwing parties for homeless children around California through her nonprofit organization, No Birthday Left Behind. Its goal is to throw birthday parties for every child who lives in a homeless shelter. "Its very hard for these children to get a source of happiness in their lives, Barman said. Now, No Birthday Left Behind operates out of four Bay Area shelters, and is continuing to expand.
