Defender Naomi Girma has been named to the United States roster for a pair of upcoming matches against Italy after returning from a calf injury.

With U.S. coach Emma Hayes giving many of her Europe-based players a break, there were several new faces on the national team for a trio of upcoming matches against Ireland and Canada.

Trinity Rodman scored in the fifth minute of her return from a lengthy injury absence, and the U.S. women’s national team beat Brazil 2-0 in a friendly rematch of the Paris Olympics gold-medal match.
