The Florida Gators may have won a national title, but the real winner of the 2025 NCAA Tournament is the Southeastern Conference, colloquially known as the SEC.

Alijah Martin, Vladislav Goldin and ninth-seeded Florida Atlantic became the first and lowest-seeded team to reach this year’s Final Four.

After a three-day pause, the madness will resume on Thursday with the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament.

Tre Mann knocked down a 3-pointer with 22 seconds to play in overtime to give Florida the separation it needed to escape the Hokies. Chris Castleton had a spectacular game for the Gators, leading with 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks. That game will be shown on truTVFlorida benched sophomore forward Omar Payne for the opener.
