A 63-year-old woman from Jacksonville died Wednesday afternoon after veering off the road and crashing into a wooden fence and building, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Residents in the Ortega Farms neighborhood are speaking out about an uptick in reported auto thefts.

A man was shot Wednesday morning in the Ortega Farms area of the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
