In a move to address the pressing need for more affordable housing in Jacksonville, City Councilman Jimmy Peluso is introducing new legislation aimed at transforming eight vacant, city-owned properties into affordable single-family homes.

NFL owners voted unanimously to approve the stadium deal between the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville on Tuesday, clearing the way for the Stadium of the Future to become a reality.

Affordable housing is a consistent issue as inflation continues to make homeownership more difficult for certain communities.

Jacksonville Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, through the Jaguars Foundation, personally committed $1 million to LIFT JAX and their work with the Historic Eastside Community Development Corporation.
