Trailblazing deaf actor Marlee Matlin opens up in the new documentary “Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore.”.

The Sundance Film Festival on Wednesday unveiled its lineup of 87 feature films set to debut in January.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - The second season of SundanceTV's dramedy "This Close" opens with what would be a terrifying experience for anyone. But Michael, like Feldman, is deaf and his attempts to express his situation through sign language go increasingly to no avail. But one of the ways that storytelling, casting and hiring frequently fail to deliver is when it comes to representation of people who are disabled. Lauren Appelbaum, the vice president of communications for nonprofit and outreach group RespectAbility -- and author of guidebook "The Hollywood Disability Inclusion Toolkit"-- said this work needs to begin at entry-level employment. There are also questions of how, and when, a disabled person working in Hollywood should divulge this information to an employer.

Ahead of the season two premiere on Sept. 12, ET has an exclusive first look at an all-new teaser and key art for the groundbreaking, acclaimed series created, written by and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, who are both deaf. Not only does it means different things to different people, for me sometimes it means different things daily, Stern told ET about creating a sexy and complicated series about adulting.
