For nearly 40 athletes from Special Olympics Florida, Thursday was more than just another day in the offseason — it was a chance to live out their football dreams.

The Foundation of Strength held its 3rd annual Special Needs Powerlifting Competition on Saturday.

The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games will begin next week, and athletes and their families have already made their way to Orlando to prepare.
