A teen's murder was live-streamed on social media and recorded by dozens of people who watched and did nothing to help, according to police. (CNN) - As his family prepared for 16-year-old Khaseen Morris' funeral Saturday, police announced the arrests of seven more teens in connection with his fatal stabbing, which onlookers recorded and shared on social media. Khaseen was killed in a fight in a strip mall near Oceanside High School on Sept. 16. Tyler Flach, 18, was charged with second-degree murder. Proseuctors don't know yet if the minors will be charged as adults, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said.

NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. - Soon after school let out on Monday, a deadly fight broke out at a strip mall near Oceanside High School in Nassau County, New York. A group of teenagers looked on as Khaseen Morris, a 16-year-old student, was assaulted and stabbed in the chest. Some took out their phones and documented the fight on social media, but no one stepped in to help him. Morris died from his wounds after being taken to the hospital, according to Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick of the Nassau County Police Department. Oceanside School District Superintendent Phyllis Harrington said in a video posted Thursday that the district is doing "everything necessary" to protect students and staff.

Morris said he wasn't dating the girl but merely making sure she teen got home safely, his family said. Nonetheless, he went Monday to address the challenge at a strip mall near campus where students routinely gathered, according to Nassau County police. There, he was surrounded by about 50 students, who were filming the confrontation with their cellphones, police said. Morris' sister, Keyanna Morris, said he loved to skateboard and had many friends. The young woman cried while speaking of seeing the video of her bleeding brother writhing on the pavement.
