Lorenzo Perez, owner of the food truck Perla del Norte, woke up on Christmas morning to find his food truck trailer missing. The local food truck community helped him to recover it on New Year's Eve.

Food trucks in Jacksonville's Trout River Food Park provided free meals as SNAP benefits delay continues to affect local families.

A Jacksonville councilman said Friday that the city won’t shut down the Trout River Food Park despite the rumors of its closing on the park’s official Facebook page.

The Trout River Food Park offers a one stop food shop experience for residents on the north side, but the invitation is open to all of Jacksonville.  Some of the food trucks are permanent residents with the benefit of having power and water supplied by the park's owner, Robert.  There are a variety of food options and special events held regularly.    FB / IG:  @troutriverfoodpark
