She said it was an assault on “fact, knowledge, history and truth,” and that the Trump administration represented a modern-day attack on the same values.

Variety reports that there is a limited series being made about the big cat lovers, which is based off a podcast called “Joe Exotic," and it will star “SNL’s" Kate McKinnon as Baskin herself. McKinnon signed up to play Baskin in the fall, long before the masses knew anything of the epic feud between Exotic and Baskin, according to the report. Since we have McKinnon cast, the next obvious question is what actors should play the other colorful characters from “Tiger King,” such as Exotic or Doc Antle. Matthew McConaughey comes to mind, especially if you’ve seen him in “Dallas Buyers Club.”Danny McBride, who is known for playing trashy characters, would also nail Exotic. As for who should play Antle, who is equally as zany as Exotic, he’d have to be played by Will Ferrell.

John Cho was reportedly injured on the set of Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop series. Variety reports that this has led to a seven to nine-month break in production. According to Variety, the injury occurred during a rehearsed sequence that was "not considered to be a large-scale stunt." On Friday, as news broke of his injury, Cho took to Instagram to thank people for their "well wishes." Cho's Cowboy Behop co-star Mustafa Shakir left Cho a comment, writing, "Big love cowboy!

Former NBC producer Brooke Nevils is speaking out following her allegations against Matt Lauer. LOS ANGELES - Katy Perry's 2013 song "Dark Horse" was copied in part from "Joyful Noise," a song by Christian rap artist Flame, a Los Angeles jury decided Monday, according to several media reports. The unanimous decision from a nine-person jury came after a weeklong trial, during which Perry testified about the track's creation, Variety reported. Flame, whose real name is Marcus Gray, argued that "Dark Horse" infringed on his copyright by using an underlying beat from his song without permission, Variety reported. Both Perry and Dr. Luke testified that they had not heard "Joyful Noise," according to an article in the Hollywood Reporter. Technical difficulties plagued the trial, Variety reported, saying attorneys attempting to play the song were unable to make the track work.

CNN(CNN) - John Fogerty has pulled out of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival, according to a report by Variety. According to Variety, representatives for Fogerty -- who performed at the original Woodstock festival as the frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival -- said in a statement that the artist "knows where he will be for the anniversary weekend of Woodstock." The festival, scheduled for August 16 to 18 in New York state, has been plagued by setbacks. Back in April, a marketing firm that was financing the festival opted to pull out, with executives telling festival organizers they were canceling the event. Last month, festival officials announced the scheduled venue for Woodstock 50, Watkins Glen International, had pulled out.

(CNN) - Actor Kevin Spacey, who's due to appear in court Monday in an indecent assault and battery case, has been questioned in the US by officers from London's Metropolitan Police Service over alleged sexual assault offenses in the UK, Variety reported exclusively Saturday. The report, without citing specific sources, says six allegations of sexual assault have been lodged with Scotland Yard, London's police force, by six different men between 1996 and 2013. Civil lawsuit droppedFriday, the accuser in that case dropped a civil lawsuit he had filed against Spacey a week earlier. CNN is not naming the accuser because he is an alleged victim of sexual assault.
