A great horned owl recently fell into an oil pit in Ventura County, California, and the soaked bird needed a good scrubbing. Workers from the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Networks scooped the animal up and brought it to the center for treatment. Using lots of dish soap and warm water, they moved the owl from tub to tub to wash the gunk from its feathers. Once the Wildlife Care Network was finished, the owl was sent to the International Bird Rescue for more cleaning.
