Nationally known civil rights attorneys Ben Crump and Harry Daniels will be returning to Jacksonville on Friday to talk about yet another case concerning the use of force by members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump said he is investigating what he describes as a possible pattern of excessive force by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, following the release of video showing a violent arrest in Clay County.

A Jacksonville man is suing Sheriff T.K. Waters and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, claiming officers used excessive force and violated his constitutional rights during a February arrest on charges that were later dropped.

A Black student who was dragged from his car by Florida law enforcement officers during a traffic stop in Jacksonville has filed a lawsuit.
