Man, 52, dies in single-vehicle crash
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 52-year-old Sanderson man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Baker County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State troopers said Johnny Bennett was heading east on Fred Harvey Road at Sam Anger Lane at 5:22 p.m. when his pickup truck went onto the south shoulder of the road, back onto the road, off again and into a ditch.
The truck struck the embankment of the ditch and overturned onto its side.
Bennett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said blood alcohol content results are pending.
