Police: 1 seriously injured in Arlington head-on crash


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was seriously injured Tuesday in a head-on crash in the Woodland Acres neighborhood of Arlington, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

The crash was reported just before 4:30 p.m. on North Arlington Road, just south of Arlington Expressway.

Police said a vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on. 

The driver of one of the cars was taken to UF Health with serious injuries, police said.

All northbound lanes of Arlington Road were closed for several hours while traffic homicide detectives investigated. 

Charges are pending at this time, according to the Sheriff's Office.
