FHP: Woman killed in crash on Jacksonville's Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 64-year-old woman died early Monday morning in a crash on Jacksonville's Westside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman was in her Toyota Corolla attempting a left turn at the corner of Normandy Boulevard at Adams Lake Boulevard about 7:30 a.m. when she crashed into a Ford Taurus, FHP Sgt. Dylan Bryan said.

She was taken to UF heath where she later died. The woman in the second vehicle was not injured. She is cooperating with investigators. 

All westbound lanes of Normandy Boulevard at Adams Lake Boulevard, just west of Chaffee Road South were blocked for several hours but have reopened.

Troopers said charges are pending.
