PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is asking the community to help locate the suspect vehicle of a hit-and-run crash that killed a 59-year-old man in Putnam County early Tuesday morning.
Troopers said they’re looking for a GMC or Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck or work van, which will be missing its passenger side mirror. FHP did not provide a color description.

According to FHP, the man from Crescent City was walking on U.S. 17 near Gail Drive just after 5 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle that then left the scene.
The man died at the scene.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash or the vehicle or driver involved is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS or the Florida Highway Patrol by dialing *FHP (347).
