MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Another victim has died after a weekend crash between an SUV and a motorhome that left more than a dozen injured in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
In updated crash report information released Monday, FHP said a 25-year-old woman from Dixie County, who was 35 weeks pregnant, was driving a Chevy Tahoe west on County Road 316 around 5:45 a.m. Saturday.

At the same time, the RV, which was carrying 15 people from Springfield, Ohio, ranging in age from 5 to 59, was traveling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 27
Troopers said that as the Tahoe approached the U.S. Highway 27 intersection, the SUV ran off the road to the right, continued through the grass shoulder toward US 27 and hit the left side of the RV.
The collision spun the RV, which flipped onto its side, FHP said.
A 5-year-old boy in the RV died at the scene, and the driver of the Chevy and 12 other patients from the RV were taken to area hospitals, troopers said.
According to FHP, the driver of the Tahoe was immediately rushed into the operating room, where her baby was delivered and passed away. The mother is still in critical but stable condition.
Initial reports indicated possible critical injuries to the 12 patients from the RV, but troopers have since said that none of them suffered life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the motorhome was a 59-year-old woman, along with the 5-year-old boy who died, the other passengers were: two 35-year-old men; a 39-year-old man, two women ages 37 and 38; girls ages 11, 12 13, 13, 14 and 15; and two boys ages 9 and 14.
