2 northbound lanes were shut down on Dames Point Bridge due to police activity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two separate incidents in the New Berlin neighborhood caused traffic back-ups on Interstate 295 north on Sunday afternoon.

In the first incident, police activity on the Dames Point Bridge closed two northbound lanes.

As of 4:30 p.m., lanes remained closed.

Separately, in the same area, the Florida Highway Patrol reported a traffic crash on I-295 northbound at mile marker 45.

Drivers in the area should expect travel delays.
