19-year-old woman riding motorcycle killed in crash with SUV on Buckman Bridge: FHP

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 19-year-old woman from Yulee died Sunday night when her motorcycle hit the back of an SUV on the Buckman Bridge, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said the woman, who was wearing a helmet, was riding south on I-295 across the Buckman Bridge around 6:30 p.m. when she hit the back of the SUV, which was traveling south in front of her.
She was thrown from the motorcycle and later died from her injuries at a local hospital, FHP said.
The 40-year-old Palm Coast man driving the SUV suffered minor injuries. Troopers said he was wearing his seat belt.
