Driver ejected after truck rolls multiple times on AC Skinner Parkway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man was ejected from his pickup truck Monday evening after the vehicle rolled over multiple times on A.C. Skinner Parkway, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office crash report.
The crash happened at approximately 6 p.m. Investigators say the driver of a 2006 Nissan Frontier was traveling westbound when the vehicle lost control while negotiating a curve, rolling between five and six times before coming to rest on its roof.

The driver was ejected and taken to the hospital.
A passenger in the front seat was able to exit the vehicle on his own. He was evaluated at the scene by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue personnel but was not transported to a hospital.
Speed cited as factor
According to the report, the passenger told officers the vehicle was traveling between 65 and 70 mph in a posted 40 mph zone at the time of the crash. The driver attempted to correct course but was unable to maintain control, leading to the rollover.
