Hispanic Heritage Month: Recognizing local leader Councilman Ken Amaro

From now until Oct. 15, News4JAX is honoring local Hispanic leaders, businesses and organizations that are making a difference in the community. Jacksonville City Councilman Ken Amaro was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and his father and grandparents are from Puerto Rico. Amaro worked as a journalist for decades before setting his sights on politics and public service.
