Breast cancer in people of color
Advancements in the detection and treatment of breast cancer have led to a 43 percent decrease in deaths. However, the death rate among black women remains 40 percent higher. According to American Cancer Society, they also have the lowest five-year survival rate among any racial or ethnic group. Here to talk more about the disparity among ethnic and racial groups is Doctor Sara Chumsri, a breast oncologist at Mayo Clinic's Jacoby Center for Breast Health and Cancer Center.
