Sleep apnea, which is a condition that causes someone to stop or to struggle to breathe while asleep, is a serious condition that can lead to heart disease and even lung damage. C-pap machines are routinely prescribed to keep continuous air flow going, but they are bulky, noisy and some say it causes them to feel claustrophobic. But now, there is a tiny, implantable device placed into the chest and according to some users, it's been a lifesaver.
