A survivor of domestic violence who spoke with News4Jax on a condition of anonymity recalled video of Petito, who was explaining the situation to an officer. "I recognize myself in that girl. You can see the fear in her face, she was taking the blame on herself," she said. The woman says she was in an abusive relationship for a year.
