‘Emotional,’ ‘powerful’ ceremonies recognize 11 local officers among hundreds who died in line of duty last year

Ceremonies honoring law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty last year continue through the weekend from the nation’s capital. Eleven local fallen law enforcement officers’ names were engraved on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, including two Nassau County deputies.
