Jacksonville Beach police warn against ‘unauthorized, unpermitted’ events as activity increases

As warmer weather and spring break increase activity around Jacksonville’s beaches, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department is taking a firm stance against “unauthorized” and “unpermitted” events. The police department said it will enforce a zero-tolerance policy of these types of gatherings in response to St. Patrick’s Day last year, which was marred by three separate shootings.
