Jacksonville overdose deaths in 2025 dropped by 30% from last year & by more than half from 2022

Jacksonville detectives have investigated more than 220 overdose deaths in 2025 and have arrested 17 drug dealers on manslaughter charges in connection with some of those cases, Sheriff T.K. Waters announced Tuesday.
