1 killed when side-by-side carrying 6 adults flips on Fort Caroline Road after colliding with SUV

A man died Sunday night after the side-by-side utility vehicle he was riding in hit an SUV on Fort Caroline Road and flipped, ejecting all six adults, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. JSO Sgt. Rob Hungerford with the Traffic Homicide Unit said the crash was reported around 10 p.m. Sunday on Fort Caroline Road at Eveross Road, less than a half-mile northwest of I-295.
