News4JAX+ at 10 a.m.: A Silent Killer: Preventing carbon monoxide poisoning
We have learned how an elderly couple died last October inside their Neptune Beach home from carbon-monoxide poisoning. The married couple, Janet George and Mark Stewart, had a car that started with a push button. The owner of the car was hard of hearing and did not realize the car was still running when the owner returned home and closed the garage door. It was an older model car that was not equipped with automatic shut off. The 77-year-old couple and their dog were found dead by a family member. A spokesperson with Florida Poison control joined News4Jax anchor Jennifer Waugh during her new streaming show at 10am, to explain other sources of danger in homes, vacation rentals, and hotels.
