News4JAX+ at 10 a.m.: JEA board controversy

The leader of Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida has withdrawn his name for consideration for a spot on the JEA board following controversial text messages from the city council president who nominated him. City Council President Kevin Carrico has faced backlash in recent days after text messages seemed to reveal that at least part of his motivation to nominate his boss, Paul Martinez, for a position on JEA’s board happened because he owed him a “big favor.” Executive Editor of the Tributary Nate Monroe joins us this morning. When he worked at the Florida Times Union, he and his colleagues were instrumental in covering the controversy surround JEA's former CEO, who is now serving time in federal prison.
