Mayor Deegan calls councilman's claims of 'toxic' culture at JEA a 'vile smear campaign' against CEO

Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan had harsh words Friday for those she says are engaged in a “vile smear campaign” against JEA CEO Vickie Cavey, calling recent allegations of “racism” and a “toxic” culture at the utility nothing but a politically motivated power grab.
