News4JAX+ at 10 a.m.: Developing Jacksonville's Southbank

The tennis courts at Southside Park off Hendricks Avenue are not changing. That decision was made by Jacksonville city councilman, Joe Carlucci, after he held a community meeting last week asking for feedback from residents about 4 park proposals being considered. The councilman had discussed moving the tennis courts, which the community overwhelming opposed during the meeting. Also, discussed is the dog park nearly completion next to the JEA building off Broadcast place and Prudential Drive. In addition, soccer fields may be built under the I-95 overpass along Broadcast Place and additional recreational opportunities involving the space under and near the Fuller Warren bridge.
