Officer accused of falsely claiming OT was with girlfriend instead, who was also his boss: JSO

An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has been arrested after he claimed more than 200 hours of overtime for traffic enforcement shifts that he never worked, Sheriff T.K. Waters announced Thursday. Waters acknowledged that during at least some of those false overtime claims, which totaled more than $14,000, Officer Christian Madsen was actually at the home of his supervisor, and the two had a romantic relationship. Madsen was a prominent member of JSO’s Motor Unit.
