JSO briefing on Oceanway deadly shooting

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a 50-year-old man died on Friday evening after he was shot near the city’s Oceanway neighborhood.  According to police, the deadly shooting occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Vernis Avenue, and the circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown.
