News4JAX+ at 10 a.m.: Cats and kittens helping rehabilitate inmates

Cats and kittens from the Flagler Humane Society are living with a group of inmates at the Flagler County Jail. It's part of the SMART program, which stands for Successful Mental health and Addiction Recovery Treatment. Students at UNF are studying the role of animals in rehabilitating inmates by joining them for a visit.  Professor Dr. Jennifer Wesely joins us this morning to tell us more about her research.
