DNA test connects Clay County Navy veteran to WWII POW missing for over 80 years

A World War II Navy sailor whose only known family is in the Jacksonville area is finally being laid to rest after being listed as missing in action for more than 80 years. Modern technology — including DNA testing — made it possible for John Campbell, who served aboard the USS Canopus in the Philippines, to be identified thanks to his nephew, who also served in the Navy.
